Social Networks and NZ Media Resources

Have you been to Youtube? , created a space on Bebo or Facebook? Have you put up your digital photos on Flickr? Have you created a Wikispace or a Blog of some kind? Online communities may not be your thing (and what teachers have the time to do this, you might ask.) But there are lots of fantastic sites to go to that you can use for learning and teaching.

Here are some ideas and places to go to…we will add to this as the conference goes on and you can add to it yourself.
We suggest you start with the following NZ Media sites:

TKI Media Studies Community website
www.tki.org.nz/r/media_studies

NAME (National Association of Media Educators)

Has its own basic website that gives basic links to competitions and resources. http://www.name.org.nz

Mediascape
The other home grown media education space, Mediascape is worth a look, especially on the literacy and parent advocacy line. http://www.mediascape.ac.nz
